Exploring One of the Best Pizza Places in Chelsea

 Meeting Nico and Chris

What’s up everyone, I’m Nico, I’m Chris, and we are here to talk about Spanish food. Today, we are in the city of Chelsea, very close to Boston. I’m super excited because we came to one of the best pizza restaurants in the entire country.

A Highly Rated Pizza Restaurant

This good fire restaurant is the second-best place for pizza in the entire country. They have a wood-fired oven, and all their pizzas are homemade Neapolitan-style pizzas. Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to film inside, so we decided to take the pizzas to-go and try them here at this beautiful bar. But before we dive into the food, prepare your lunch, prepare your dinner, or whatever you’re going to eat, and let’s dig in together!

The First Pizza: Flavor Explosion

The first pizza we tried comes with sausages, oregano, cherry pepper, and pecorino cheese. It looks amazing. As we mentioned before, the Neapolitan dough is very characteristic for having bubbly edges with air pockets. The dough has a fermentation process between 12 and 48 hours, which helps with those perfect airy edges.

The crust is not crunchy, which is great, and it’s one of the defining characteristics of this pizza. The flavor starts with the tomato, and the spiciness of the salad comes through as well. It’s not overpowering, just a little kick. What’s interesting is that this pizza is so light, I could easily eat four slices of this!

The dough is elastic, and the oregano is fresh. You can even eat the edges, which are delicious. The flavor is so light and fresh, with the balance between the dough and the toppings being perfect.

The Second Pizza: Gorgonzola and Ham Delight

Next, we tried a pizza that comes with ham, Gorgonzola cheese, mozzarella, and balsamic. The combination of flavors is incredible. The cheese isn’t too overpowering, and the balance with the ham and the balsamic is just right.

This pizza really stood out for me, and the ham, while not the best ham I’ve ever had, still complements the pizza very well. The overall flavor profile is not too strong, so you can enjoy every element without one overpowering the other.

The Third Pizza: Fungi With a Twist

The third pizza we had was the Fungi pizza. It comes with roasted fungi, ricotta, arugula, and truffle oil. This one is a white pizza, meaning it doesn’t have tomato sauce. The oil used in this pizza is flavorful, and the balance of flavors is excellent. Even though I’m not the biggest fungi fan, this pizza really surprised me.

The richness of the truffle oil, combined with the creamy ricotta and fresh arugula, creates a perfect mix. All the ingredients are in harmony, and the pizza feels light yet satisfying.

The Fourth Pizza: Chicken Pesto Surprise

The next pizza was called Pollo Rosoto, and it comes with roast chicken, bacon, pesto, and mozzarella. From the get-go, I noticed they were generous with the ingredients. The chicken was juicy and not dry at all, which I appreciated.

However, I was expecting the pesto to have a stronger flavor. Unfortunately, the pesto didn’t stand out as much as I had hoped. It was a little too subtle for my taste, and I felt like the pizza could have used some more tomato sauce to balance the flavors.

The Nutella Pizza: A Sweet Finish

To finish off, we had a Nutella pizza with strawberries, bananas, and mint leaves. It was a beautiful sight to see, and the combination of fruit and Nutella worked perfectly together. The fruits were cooked just enough to bring out their flavors, but they were still fresh.

The mint leaves added a nice touch, though I didn’t feel the mint as much as I expected. Regardless, this pizza was a sweet treat, and it was the perfect end to our pizza journey.

Overall Impressions and Price

The total check came to $100.58, with the fungi pizza priced at $19, the prosciutto pizza at $21, the pollo rosoto pizza at $19, and the Nutella pizza at $16. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food you get. I’ve paid more than $20 for a pizza that wasn’t nearly as good, so the value here is exceptional.

My favorite pizza was the fungi, thanks to its unique blend of flavors. The restaurant itself is small, with a cozy terrace outside and a few tables inside. It’s also worth noting that reservations are recommended.

Final Thoughts

We highly recommend this place. So far, it’s the best pizza we’ve had in the United States, and if you enjoy high-quality, wood-fired pizza, this is definitely a spot to check out.
